I am looking at putting up an internet radio station. So far from my little research I have found something called Shoutcast and something called ice_something. I will be needing a commercial hoster, and I realize that I will need to pay by the bandwidth, and thus the number of listeners. What is the simplest, cheapest, most expandable way to start out? Can you give me the name of a hoster who specializes in this? I have done web sites mostly with Dreamweaver on Windows servers. Is this no doable when considering broadcast audio streams? Where to start?

This is a pretty good shoutcast host that isn't too expensive: http://www.b2netsolutions.com/

The best station-in-a-box software is IRCBot, which is at http://www.shoutirc.com. It integrates your IRC with your radio and is a DJ which keeps your shoutcast online when there is no "live" DJ.
