Going back to the place of higher education is and has been a mess. The mess started back with Cliff Shank and the boys at mainstream radio. First off I worked into a spot at KSKU/KXKU/KGGG in Hutchinson Kansas and I was able to do a bunch of things and learned a lot under Tom Norris and Lucky Kidd and all the other people I worked with at Ad Aspera Per Aspera Broadcasting on main in Hutchinson. However I one evening was working and someone called me up and started to talk about the Lebette County five. Well he kept calling every time I worked, I recorded all the calls and were going to use them on my home radio show. I was called into Cliff's office one day and he began to rip into me about abuse of an 800 number. Well I never knew they had one and basically Tom and Cliffy suspended me from the air and my job. Cliff then fired me and I was blackballed from broadcasting in Central Kansas. I determined I needed a degree in broadcasting to get back into the game.
I had struck up a friendship with Vance Tyrell who was the broadcasting guy at Hutchinson Community Coll. And we began to work together on some projects when I started KJAG and took my radio show on line and began to build the empire that I have and the radio program that is known as “The Jiggy Jaguar Show”. Vance came to me one year with an idea once I had enrolled about doing an internship with Cliff. Well I knew this was a mistake and Vance said, I was already trained and Cliff would love the free labor. Well he approached him and then the issues started, Vance began to not work with me much and began to screw me at every turn from me having my student aid at the school yanked to me being on academic suspension. I tried to get internships at other stations but they always called Vance and they dried up quick{like my ex-wife without lube during sex}. I began to think HCC was the issue.
I checked out other options like I was going to go to Central Christian in McPherson Kansas but once they began to check into my background and also contact my previous people which included Vance. I was sunk there as well then when I became fed up I went one day to check out another educational place in my future hometown{which for reasons I have with Mr. Shank and others, I will not disclose but anyone who knows me, know where I am going already} However I found this place was ahead of the game on all levels from radio to tv. Something else they loved and embraced my net radio background and I loved this and knew I had found a home. Well, once my shitty 2006 and beginning of 07 started I was sunk on that level as well.
I went back to HCC to see if I could tred some water before going to the new school. Well, I enrolled and found out Vance had retired and thought, maybe a fresh start would be great and would get me where I wanted to be. So I enrolled and was planning on going to classes. I contacted the new adviser about an internship. Ha, Ha the fun started....Basically HCC had been flushed down the shitter, telecommunications wise cause of Vance. I called first the adviser who turned out not to be an adviser just a guy who could schedule classes. He gave me a number of someone who was in charge of internships who turned out to be not even in the dept. I needed internship forms for. She forwarded me to someone else. Who told me there teacher quit in the middle of last semester and was replaced by someone who worked at the Kansas Cosmo sphere, now I was basically gonna be taught about radio and TV from a woman who was running a projector in the IMAX Theater and gave tours of moon rocks. She then forwarded me to someone else who told me that there no actual internship forms. The big thing Vance always held me on to was that he has to”find the internship forms”. What happened was bacially that Vance shut down the internships for me. The stations would call him after I pitched myself and then he would can them for me.
Basically this leaves me with the only option which is now that I am focused on everything. I can make my way to the brand new venue. I can get the top of the line education and I can become appreciated for all the hardwork that I put into the net for over 7 years. I also can get the blasted TV show off the ground and on the air. Plus I found out just recently my Best friend and pretty much my tag team partner, “Shattner” moved there and is waiting on me and my family to kick it and show up. So this is going to be the most awesome next step in my life.
My take on all this is the fact that fate and the fat alcoholic known as Cliff Shank is going to not have a say in when and where I get back into broadcasting. Basically I already have an internship set up with a station and I have gotten everything I want and need to get back into radio. My goal is to push that fat bastard toward a heart attack and I am planning on going about it my way, the only way I can and that is to be “The Jiggy Jaguar”!
