11/11/2009-Weekly Rant: The Running of The Mainstream DJ's!

June 7 2009 was the date I posted a column where I talked about Internet radio is being declared the future is now. I talked about guys like Steve Mills, {My former PD at Rocking M Radio} Brother Ken and Chris Foley{who you know as Kidd Chris}. These are the men shouting from the roof that the “future is now!”. The folks who were DJ's and now they are on line However today I got to thinking about Kidd Chris getting his new morning gig in {as Tom Leykis used to call it, “Porkland”}1st of all 2 things...1. I dropped a Tom Leykis reference and 2. Yes I did say Kidd Chris is back on the air in Portland. I thought about entitling this column “..And there off!” or “welcome back..” or I told you so,etc. However I continue to be The Rush Limbaugh of Internet talk radio. 1, Rush makes predictions that always come true and I have once again made a prediction that has come true. June 7th Weekly Rant procalmied these final words...”And we will be here when all the big time guys go back to their air chairs .”

The future is now crowd such as Kidd Chris who said at one time on his net program, Everyone knows mainstream radio is dead and this stuff is the future. You have people like my old friend Brother Ken coming out with his own version of marketing his INTERNET stream. I have heard Adam Carrol la coming out and saying Pod casting is the future and everyone can take it anywhere. Steve Mills{my friend in the ICT} says that this is just the 1st step in “Us”{INTERNET guys} coming after the mainstream guys. However with Kidd Chris going to his new gig at “Portland's Rock station-.KUFO”, does that mean the “future is not now?” I just do not understand what is going on or maybe I already do understand what is going on here!? I told ya and guess what Kidd is not the 1st and he will not be the last.

Next question is who is next?{Yes a Bill Goldberg reference} Kidd Chris was the 1st man to come back to his air chair and get his big pay check. Now do not take the last comment as me insulting Kidd, I think it's great that he has a super agent and he is going after the paper and get his spot. However I think you do not need to go out and play into the whole “future is now crowd” and get off nice on the “everyone is leaving mainstream radio” and I am here on the next generation of technology. However he is the 1st to run back when he can get a check. Just come on and say what it is. “I am here till I get a paying gig.” He tried to raise money and sponsors and make it but he found out that the same thing that we all find out. NO MONEY IN NET RADIO! I think it's a blast that another person has found out that all INTERNET radio will be is just a hobby.{I don't care what they say, I been here since 2000 and know and have lived the truth.}

Now that Kidd Chris has slid back into the air chair and by the way, I bet if you look at it. Stern may have had a shot at him getting back on the air.{Which proves my other point right that I made on June 7th.}However who will be next? I am not sure who will be next? However I do think the odds on is my close personal long time friend, Mr. Brother Ken from Salina Ks. So let's look at what we have learned. Ken got canned by Rocking M Radio. He went off and got his INTERNET station started with the help of some{and not his pal Steve Mills..ha ha}Bro K went out and caused some havoc with his former employer at RMR and at the same time got some good traffic to his site. Ken has managed to get his close friend and Sales guy Pat Foster involved and they have made some money locally. {Go for it, while you can} However we all know that when Eagle Radio {which by the way is another prediction I have long held} buys Rocking M Radio or at least the 3 local stations in Salina{101.7 and 92.7 and 95.5}and flips 92.7 back to 92.7 The Zoo Salina's Rock station. Ken will be called back to be the Morning man and get things kicked back into gear. I believe that Ken will take the Zoo site and everything with him to the new Eagle run 92.7. The stream will FWD to the Zoo92 site.

Mills will be next, Now I believe Steve Mills might take a little longer to go back to his cushy radio spot. Mills lives in Wichita Ks and unless Steve can convince someone else to give him a shot. He may just stick with the on line thing till whomever he has as backers in Wichita are either done or do not want to invest in INTERNET radio anymore. I am not bashing them, I am just saying that eventually when you do deal with cooperations They do sometimes get fed up with it, for instance WCW with AOL/Time Warner. Ted Turner loved Professional wrestling and eventually he sold his part to Time Warner who would merge with AOL. The AOL guys were not Wrestling fans and wanted to phase it all out. They did and now WCW is being crapped on by WWE and VKM.

Jiggy Jaguar will be following all these guys back to the mainstream world of broadcasting? Well, let's look at it this way. The name “Jiggy jaguar” or “The Jiggy jaguar” will NEVER be on mainstream radio. The people of Salina and the surrounding areas have heard my shtick and know they do not want me yelling my crap trap on AM/Fm in Kansas. Now many stations around the country carry our show and love me. However in Kansas it aint gonna happen. However with that said, Crash Davis may be back on the air. I can imagine that once 92.7 goes back to the Zoo, I will be asked to come back. However that is for later on in the rant and onto something that I will be alone. Yes once all these guys go back to their air chairs, I will be alone. Keep in mind all the guys who told me and continue to tell me “The future is now” will then tell me that I am a kook for hanging around in the INTERNET broadcasting world. The folks who bring you Kiddshow.com and zoo92.com and kkrdonline.com will then tell me that I am a dope{which I will admit on several occasions} I am but keep in mind, I will be alone doing”the damn thing” as always.

Now your asking yourself, will I go back? Will I keep The Jiggy Jaguar thing going? Answer is Yes and Yes. Why I will continue on this path that I have been going down since 2000. I have built a brand here since 1993 with The Jiggy Jaguar Radio Show. We have branched out into doing Jiggy Jag TV on cable access in Salina Ks. We have now branched out to doing the political program known as “Sample text”. We have been included in the book “Talk radio wants you an intimate Portrait of 700 radio shows that welcome guests.” The guests we have booked ranged from stage to screen to sports people to porn stars,etc. I have used this program as a sounding board for years to vent about relationships and personal rivals to common and uncommon sense issues that I know people want to hear on a weekly routine. Then finally my reputation as being controversial and we are not well liked in the mainstream from local newspapers to local radio.

Why I will go back to mainstream radio and be Crash Davis again. I understand that a lot of people at Eagle Radio seems to be keeping track of your's truly. Every time I see one of my fellow former Eagle people at remotes or out in the community, they always seem to at one point get into a conversation with me on bringing the Zoo back if they or when they get a hold of it from Rocking M Radio. Ken will attempt/make a push to hire me back, he told me a long time back that when RMR loses control of the 92.7 signal and he becomes the man at the head of the ship again he would hire me back .Plus having the Zoo back on the air and not having Crash back on the air in Salina Kansas. A lot of people have been asking me and been talking to others about getting me back on the air in Salina. However I believe the small group of fans that I have in Salina will try to get me back on the air if the other 2 options do not pan out.

My view on this is I am a truth sayer and predicted correct on this matter. I said this back in June of 2009. I have talked to the world on the radio show and beyond and told the world that all of these guys will be heading back. Kidd Chris is the 1st one and now we welcome the next one back to the air chair. I think the prediction is correct and I have been proven correct and I hate to be right. I have hated to be right and I keep waiting for someone to prove me wrong. In fact I would like to challenge someone to prove me wrong on something that I have said. I beg of you to do this. However once again this will not happen. Finally let's wrap this up by saying, Good job to Kidd Chris and good job to the folks at KUFO for taking a chance on Foley. I also want to send out a congratulations to the next INTERNET radio, Future is now guy or gal to head back to the mainstream. Remember I told you so and once again I prove why I am the Cunninglinguist and The Masterdebator and The Admiral of literation.
