Question How do I downld in mp3 format
How do I download Stern podcasts in an .mp3 format?

You just log in to the premium site (http://premium.crystalone.net/) and click one of the podcast links, then you can download the show.

Well... the reason I ask is because last night I downloaded 2 classic stern shows and the files were not .mp3 but .2000[1]. Any idea why?

Anything specific to your account you should really post a support ticket for versus the forums, but most likely your browser just cut off the file extension. The files are full size (20+ MB), you should be able to rename them and put .mp3 at the end to get them working.

just renaming them didn't work. A lot of different players can't read them. WinMedia Player plays them but I haven't tried it on my iPod yet. Is there something I should do before downloading so the file comes out .mp3?

P.S. could you post a link to where I'm supposed to post questions.

They are still MP3s, just for some reason your browser didn't save the extension. If you have "Hide known file extensions" turned on in windows you may not be able to see/edit the real file extension.
