Weekly Rant:10/4/2009-Brock Lesner and Shane Carwin

The next big Pay Per View from The Ultimate Fighting championship in November will feature a main event from the world est oldest MMA promotion. Features Brock and Carwin, your prob. Asking yourself, Who in the blue hell is Shane Carwin? You not the only one, asking this. Plus in November will be CBS return to the MMA scene with Fedor and Brett Rodgers. If your a MMA fan like I am you don't want to see the guys doing ground grappling chess, you want to see big HUGE brawls. Now this week we take a break from the Political and other forms this column has taken to talk about it. Plus I have a take on Kimbo's big fight from the TUF show this past week. In fact let's start there.

The most talked about thing in TV on Wed night, the big fight. We have not saw Kimbo Slice since his big show on CBS when he got beat by a clown in pink hair. This caused Kimbo's stock to soar into the crapper. The Elite XC group went out of business and CBS dropped MMA like a hot towel. Dana and the boys went out and grabbed Kimbo for nothing. Kimbo got on the show and the ratings were big and the 1st fight was great stuff. Now come the hype and come the show on with Roy Nelson former Ifl champion. The hype once again did not live up to the hype with Kimbo being put on his back like a retarded turtle and lost via ref stoppage. The next day people from Yahoo to CBS talked about this loss and good lord we lost big time because we all bought it hook line and sinker.

Now comes the war between Carwin and Brock, I have saw all sorts of things from the war of words from both men about Carwin not fighting anyone that people know of. I have saw Carwin fighting on youtube.com and have heard about some of his bigger name wins. I hope that Carwin does not do what Brock is famed for and that is nailing a BIG move 1st move of the fight. Randy nearly got KO'ed and Herring got a broken eye socket. If Carwin leans back, this dude is toast and will look like one of Tyson's old opponents from the 1980's. Carwin should come out and try to wrestle Brock, a lot of people say they both are good wrestlers. Do not strike with Brock and go with what you can do and make this guy pissed and beat him at his own sport which is wrestling. Brock was an NCAA wrestling champion. Carwin was Jr. Colle. Wrestler but still could be good on the ground.

Brock needs to come out and make a big impact move then just beat this clown into nothingness. Do I think Brock will win, yes I do. Go to Youtube.com and search for Brock Lesner training. Now Brock has a video up there of them training for this match with Shane “Cant Win” as the INTERNET guys have called him. Brock's sparring partner tells a story in the vid of sparring and training with Brock is like rolling down Mt. Everest in a barrel So be ready Mr. Carwin and when will these guys stop running their mouth before the matches with Brock. Frank Mir talked shit and afterward looked like he got hit with a shotgun.

My take on this match is once it's over, who do you have? Brock wins you have Nog, come on, the former Pride champion may catch Brock with something but they will kraft a plan for him to smash Nog like a soda can. Anyone else on the roster? Oh yeah we could have Kimbo fight him...Wait Brock would just eat Kimbo. Brock would think Kimbo was a milk dud and eat his ass whole. Now if Carwin wins, I think it would make sure a rematch would get Brock to smash this guy worse than Mir. Plus Carwin would be the famous guy with a target on his back. Imagine the hype for a rematch?
