Weekly Rant: I don't care about this FUCKING SHOW ANYMORE!

That is the quote that goes threw my head everything I go out to tape Jiggy Jag TV here in Salina Kansas. I have over the last few weeks had such a nightmare with the TV show. As everyone knows the good folks at Access TV have been spending the very 1st day that I walked in the door trying to shoe horn me out of the door. I have been dealing with all sorts of issues out of everyone from everything relating to this program. We have over the last few days been going thru some of the old things that have made this program into something and things lately that have driven me nuts. This week we will talk about how all this revolves around Jiggy jag TV.

4 years ago I moved to Salina Kansas from McPherson Kansas and I had always wanted to do TV and Radio. I was able to do both in Salina, I had an internship and eventually job in radio. I also had managed to get involved with the local cable access station. I told them my ideas for the TV program and it was a HUGE deal. Along the way we did some great TV moments with me and Larry and Chris. We picked up people like Cory and Jared and Ross and Anne. The show changed for in my take the worse. It became a show about music and it was never meant to be that, it was supposed to be about me having a damn TV show. However let's look back at what Ross brought to the show recently that has given me more cause to distance myself from the show itself.

Ross Long brought to the show some really radical ideas to the show, he wanted to begin to do more broadcasting LIVE on the internet. He wanted to make the interviews more complex and more detailed. He wanted to bring some innovative ideas from the years of TV media to the show. However folks that is not what I envisioned for this show, the vision for the show is not slick and high tech it's meant to look like crap. Not what Ross was bringing to the table was something that would not work, I think it's GREAT and I think it's a show that would work. However I just think we need to step back from his vision.

Larry and his Obsession with this program, Larry Trent is a guy I met 3 years ago when I stepped into Access and was looking for a camera man. Larry has gone to the ends of the earth for this program and I thank him for it. I actually do all the time, Larry has been a GREAT friend to me and this program. However lately the show has not been what I envisioned several years ago when I came to Salina Kansas and began Jiggy jag TV. Larry says if I ever quit the show or move or for whatever reason would continue the program. I do not know how he will continue the show without a dude named “Jiggy Jag”. I guess he could keep the show going, he could keep it going. I understand that the idea of show like this has taken Larry over. However when I am gone, this show is gone. At this point I believe the show is gone. We have no more bits and no more skits, we have no more Cousin Chris and we have basically what Larry's show was “Entertainment Access Presents” with an interview.

I have been Access TV's biggest supporter over the years, I have promoted the channel like no other in the community. I have brought more viewers to the channel and brought in a lot of volunteers and people who watch the channel. However since Day 1, they have been trying to boot me out the door. One of the biggest things I have done for Access TV was to bring them money. One day years ago, they were complaining about no money. What happened is I seek ed out a local Mixed Martial Arts Company who was wanting to have their show taped. I seek ed out volunteers and Access told me what a stupid idea, eventually the volunteer training coordinator stepped up and helped me and Larry and we did the show and won Corbin an award and brought in 200 bucks to access. Once the checks started rolling in Access loved it and wanted more MMA on Access, so I brought them events and eventually with Mick having issues with some promoting and other personal issues, we stopped doing MMA shows.

Access has banned me and unbanned me so many times, I have had my head spin. Now keep in mind Larry put on a program called “Shat” and got State wide attention from the news media and he was held up as a freedom fighter and bleeding red-white-blue. However, myself...well I said “I don't like the way the black girls talk but they way they suck my{and I pointed to my crotch}. This got me banned from Access TV for close to 9 months. Eventually they brought me back and just recently they tossed me out of the building for 90 days, now no one has said nothing about this. I have no clue why I was banned from the building and people who attempt to find out why I do these things have been greeted with, “Speak to Mr. Lowe” because he knows what he did? So much like the 1st time, we do not know why I was banned from the building, however eventually they will let me come back and we will all be hunky dory again for a month or so and something MAJOR will happen again{that I will know anything about} and I will be out the door again.

When did Jiggy jag TV lose it's fun to me, Jiggy Jag TV became a not so fun operation to me, once I ended up not shooting intros and doing so much with Cousin Chris on the program. We were the glue that held that show together. When we became all about music and becoming a TV ad for local bar venues and the performers that they bring to the area. When we stopped doing comedy bits and stopped doing all sorts of risky things and funny moments. Jiggy Jag TV was always an extension of the Radio show in theory. I have always liked seeing the ways we could push the boundrys of the program. However when Chris stopped doing the program, it ceased to become a show about fun and wackiness it became about bands and music makers. I think that is a nice concept but it was not what Jiggy Jag TV was.

How will the show end, will in my take Jiggy Jag TV as we all knew it ended on the 2nd year anniversary of the program. However when will the current look of Jiggy Jag TV end, I believe it will end when I leave Salina Kansas. At this time, I am considering moving once May gets here and moving back to Hutchinson Kansas. I understand that I did not have as much success over there but I enjoyed living there. I was a nobody, I had a measure of fame and I had some fun times there but I was able to do what I wanted and was not dictated by a TV show and also was able to get to the gym, all the time. I was able to fight and spar and train and do all that crap.
Finally I am not sure what holds for old Jigmund Freud, Will I continue to live in Salina Kansas or will I pack it up and move back to the Salt City of Hutchinson Kansas. Jiggy Jag TV will it continue or will it go threw another Renaissance and be a driving force again? Whatever the future holds, I will be here every week with the rant, getting it going!
